Who we are
The Women’s Five was created by founder David Tanner. We team up with some of the best fitness and mental health instructors in Hong Kong to organise our 5 week fitness programme, and as a result, the Women’s Five has attracted a strong network of inspired women and friends in Hong Kong who seek to create a balanced lifestyle through staying active, having fun and creating positive change in their lives and that of the community around them. David has worked in the sports and outdoor industry in various roles including organising and implementing racing events for over 10 years.
What we believe in
We have a passion for life and we love working hard to make sure we get the most out of it. We believe that through sports everyone can create a more positive life for themselves, whether you are just starting or have been active for years. We believe in celebrating the amazing women around us, encouraging all to not only chase their dreams but to think bigger and reach for even greater goals.
What we do
We are an event company that organizes 2 integrated events per year – The Women’s Five (5km run and 10km run), with a 5 week health and fitness programme before-hand, comprising of Outdoor Yoga, Running, HIIT classes, Meditation/Mindfulness and Movement & Strength . We recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health and are also proud to incorporate meditation and mindfulness into the 5 week program.
We build upon the incredible community of women we have in Hong Kong. Through our fitness programs, community events and 5km & 10km run. Women have the opportunity to meet new people or catch up with old friends. We foster an environment where we can talk about exciting new projects, or discuss problems – which we can all help solve together.
We aim to inspire women and give them the tools to be healthier and happier – through our social messages, 5 week fitness programme, our runs, and our online blog, encouraging you to take that first step or keep going in your journey, and provide support to women from all walks of life to get fit and stay healthy.
In early 2018 we also helped bring to Hong Kong and hosted the first Women’s Adventure Film Tour to a sell out crowd, showcasing independent short films and stories of women around the world doing inspiring things.
