November 2018 Run information coming soon

The Women’s Five event is more than just a run. Our hope is that it will become an agent of change that will help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be. Included in your registration is a 5 week health and wellness program as well as a weekly meetup training session for all participants to join.

 

    5km Run Information

    This November’s run will be a road run on Ma On Shan Promenade. You can find more details under Course Map/ Transport.

    Full Program Information (5 Week Health/fitness & Training Program + Meetups

    *It is not mandatory to attend all the sessions – you can go to any you like.

    Running Program.

    With help from top runners and our partner HK Running you will recieve a 5 week beginner and intermediate 5km training program. In addition, a once a week meetup (4 in total) which gives you the chance to meet and train with other participants.

    Yoga Program.

    The yoga program is amazing! We have partnered with individual yoga instructors and promenint studios in Hong Kong. You will get 2 Yoga videos with numerous daily routines to keep you flexible and feeling great. In addition we will organise 6 yoga meetups for you which will be held by the yoga partners.  

    Meditation Program

    For the meditation week the W5 team have partnered with Dr Monica Borschel, and have together created an online booklet which covers: Intro to meditation, the main different types, benefits and misconceptions, examples and exercises to try as well as 5 audio guided meditations from Dr Monica.

    Mindfulness Program.

    For the Mindfulness week the W5 have partnered up with Kimberley Carder and have created an online booklet which covers: Intro to mindfulness, why it’s important, how to become more mindful in everyday life, examples and exercises to try as well as a daily empowerment journal for the week.

    Event talk and group meditation

    Dr Monica Borschel will be giving a talk on daily stress and coping mechanisms as well as doing a group meditation. *(As this is the first time we will hold this, we will hold the same talk for 2 nights with a 30 person capacity each night only. Participants will register separately from a link in our emails).

    Movie Night.

    We will also be holding a movie night for full program participants! A chance to come together and have a fun social night with new friends. *(As this is the first time we will hold this, we will hold the same movie for 2 nights with a 30 person capacity each night only. Participants will register separately from a link in our emails)

    5km run only option.

    Those who may not wish to take part in the full program are able to register for the race only. This includes the 5km run and the race pack/ sponsor bag.

    Charity Partner

    RainLily Hong Kong.  a part of each participants registration fee will go to our selected charity (10% of entry fee per person)
