The Women’s Five event is more than just a run. Our hope is that it will become an agent of change that will help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be. We strive to achieve this through our social messages, 5 week fitness program and our runners race packs/ sponsor bags.

Women's Five - 5 Week Fitness Program Informaton

5 Week Program Information. A comprehensive program to help build or maintain your fitness – During the 5 weeks we will covering the following: Running, Yoga, HIIT, Meditation and Mindfulness. This will be done through a series of fitness meetups on the weekends and also online resources from the W5 team including – running programs, yoga routine videos, meditation booklet and mindfulness booklet.

*It is not mandatory to attend all the sessions – you can go to any you like. We have xx meetups over the 5 weeks including the run!

Running Program

With help from top runners and our partner HK Running you will recieve an online 5 week beginner and intermediate 5km training program. In addition, a once a week meetup (4 in total) which gives you the chance to meet and train with other participants.

Yoga Program

The yoga program is amazing! We have partnered with HK’s best yoga instructors and studios in Hong Kong. You will get 3 online Yoga videos with numerous daily routines to keep you flexible and feeling great. In addition we will organise 5 yoga meetups for you which will be held by the yoga partners.

Meditation Week

For the meditation week the W5 team have partnered with Dr Monica Borschel, and have together created an online booklet which covers: Intro to meditation, the main different types, benefits and misconceptions. The meditations will also be in audio form to listen to from your phone.

Mindfulness Week

For the Mindfulness week the W5 have created an online booklet with help from Kimberley Carder which covers: Intro to mindfulness, why it’s important, how to become more mindful in everyday life, examples and exercises to try as well as a daily empowerment journal for the week. The mindfulness exercises will also be in audio form for you to listen to from your phone.

Stress talk & guided meditation

Event Partner Dr Monica Borschel will be giving a talk on daily stress and coping mechanisms, finishing with a group meditation. This evening gives a chance for participants to just listen, or discuss and find solutions to issues they may be dealing with, and ask Monica for her professional opinion. *This evening will be limited to 35pax. Sign up will be available in the weekly emails.

 

W5’s HIIT class!

Our event partner Samantha will be leading the two HIIT Classes! A total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio designed to tone your body, improve endurance and help your running! Barre focuses on isometric strength training with high reps of small movements. Lets get strong!
